A Mother's Pride

Once upon a time I held you closely in my arms, soothing your tears with a bedtime story. Once upon a time you sat upon my knee, reading your first book with words you made up along the way. Once upon a time, we sat side by side, as you read me your first book report, filled with pride for all you had learned. Once upon a time...we stood side by side as you practiced reciting your wedding vows, love flowing from each and every word. I wish for you my child a lifetime filled with "once upon times" and storybook endings.
